By the grace of Almighty God, your prayers and presence are requested at a celebration of the Rite of Ordination for Kevin Burke into the Ministry of Word and Service.
The ordination will occur on Sunday, May 4, two thousand twenty-five at Three in the afternoon at Redeemer Lutheran Church, located at 525 St. Andrews Road, Columbia, South Carolina.
The Reverend Virginia Aebischer, Bishop of the South Carolina Synod, will be presiding at this ordination, and Reverend Jason Adams of Good Samaritan Lutheran Church in Las Vegas, Nevada, will be preaching for the ordination.
Kevin has been called by the Church Council of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America to the Ministry of Word and Service as a Deacon. He will serve as the Discipleship Consultant for Lutheran Men in Mission.
All ordained, consecrated, and commissioned ministers are invited to vest. Red is the color of the day. The ordination will have a streaming link available. A reception will follow the service.
Prayer
Almighty and merciful God, you built your Church on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, and you instituted the office of the holy ministry so that apostolic and prophetic Word might be heard throughout the ages. Grant that this new deacon may minister faithfully in the power of your Spirit; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
