We Pray for the Family of June Moore Fulmer

June Olivia Moore Fulmer, 86, widow of the Rev. G. Alvin Fulmer, died August 12, 2022 at Lexington Medical Center.

Born on November 9, 1935 in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Butler Arnold and Emma Elizabeth Singley Moore.

June was smart and witty, rarely ever meeting a stranger. She loved to go shopping and enjoyed lunch dates with her grandchildren and friends. She loved celebrating family birthdays and holidays, visiting the mountains, and exploring her ancestry. When she relaxed some, she was an avid reader and excellent card player.

June always had compassion for others, but especially loved and spoiled her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her quest for a fun-filled life only slowed a little in her later years.

She is survived by her children, Valerie Fulmer (Brady) Waites, Steven L. (Beth) Fulmer, and Beth Fulmer (Ralph) Haggard; 5 grandchildren, Justin Waites, Jonathan Waites, Rebecca Christmas, Benjamin Haggard, and Caroline Haggard; 3 great-grandchildren, James Waites, Daniel Christmas, and Houston Christmas; a brother, William R. Moore; 3 nieces; and 1 nephew.

Graveside funeral services were conducted on Monday, August 15, 2022 in St. Philip’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family received friends following the service. Memorials may be made to St. Philip’s Lutheran Church, 2461 St. Philip’s Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108 or to St. Michael Lutheran Church, 400 River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.

The family would like to thank Dr. Carroll Pinner and staff for their care and compassion. They would also like to thank Pastors Terry Amick and Frank Anderson for their spiritual guidance and benevolence.

Almighty God, source of all mercy and giver of comfort: Deal graciously, we pray, with those who mourn, that, casting all their sorrow on you, they may know the consolation of your love; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
– Prayer from the Lutheran Book of Worship

Editors note: The office was made aware of the Mrs. Fulmer’s passing on the afternoon of August 15th. Unfortunately, I was traveling home from a wedding and had no access to a computer until after the service. Thank you for understanding.
