By the grace of God and the movement of the Spirit, your prayers and presence—either virtual or in-person—are requested at a celebration of Holy Communion with the Rite of Ordination for Christina Marie Johnson into the Ministry of Word and Sacrament.
The ordination will take place on Friday, the third of December, two thousand and twenty-one at three in the afternoon (Central Time). The worship service will be held at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights, Illinois, located at 1234 Arlington Heights Rd. The Reverend Virginia Aebischer, Bishop of the South Carolina Synod, will be presiding at this ordination, The Rev. Yehiel Curry, Bishop of the Metropolitan Chicago Synod, will preside at communion, and The Rev. Dr. Sandra Chrostowski, Senior Director, Congregational Vitality for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, will preach.
Christina has been called by King of Glory Lutheran Church, North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to be their pastor.
The service will be live-streamed on Our Saviour’s website and Facebook page, for those who are not able to be physically present.

Gracious and loving God, you built your Church on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, and you instituted the office of the holy ministry so that apostolic and prophetic Word might be heard throughout the ages. Grant that this new pastor may minister faithfully in the power of your Spirit; through your Son, Jesus Christ, our Good Shepherd. Amen.
