2019 Inquirer’s Day of Reflection

2019 Inquirer’s Day of Reflection

YOU ARE INVITED!

Join us on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at St. Stephen’s, Lexington.

This day retreat is sponsored by your South Carolina Synod and hosted by the Invitation to Service Committee.

It is designed for all Inquirers who are interested in attending seminary, and for those who will take this journey with them, including but not limited to spouse, pastor, and family members.

Whether or not you have started filling out the application to Seminary or the paperwork for the candidacy process you are encouraged to come and spend this day learning more about what you might expect at seminary and what the candidacy process includes.

Throughout the day you will participate in conversation centered around a variety of presentations.

You will learn about the different tracks rostered
leaders may take; what life as a rostered leader could look like; and financial and family issues that most rostered leaders face.

This day together begins the significant relationship between the inquirer (their family members and congregation), and the candidacy committee, building a foundation for the years and process to come.

Spouses/significant others and your pastor are encouraged to attend.

Lunch will be provided.
