I am happy to report that the financial picture for the first six months of this fiscal year is very good, actually better than I expected. Mission support from congregations in the amount of $1,118,016 was better than the prior three years.
The comparison of the first six months (February – July) of 2025 to the first six months of 2024 is in two sections below – the first being for the budgeted revenue and expenditures, and the second for non-budgeted revenue and expenditures.

In the non-budgeted section for July, 31, 2025, the Synod showed a loss of $75,193 on the sale of the Johnston property and gifts to others of $182,186. The Johnston property was acquired in 2024 through Holy Closure, and was recorded on the Synod financials at $222,000, which was a reasonable value. The net proceeds from the sale were $146,807, creating the loss of $75,193. The gifts to others included $117,445 to the Vitality Endowment Fund per the Synod Council resolution.
Please refer to the following report which shows each congregation’s Mission Support for the first six months of the fiscal year (February – July) for 2025 as compared to the same time period in 2024.
I thank you for your support in the ministry of the South Carolina Synod.
