Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. (Romans 12:13)
“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, “What are you doing for others?”
Operation Inasmuch is a one day service blitz in the community where the gospel of Jesus Christ is express through acts of compassion by serving the un-served, loving the unloved, and reaching out to the un-churched in the spirit of Matthew 25:40, “For inasmuch as you have done it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you done it to me.”
Our goal is to be more ecumenical this year — particularly with our neighboring African American and African descent congregations. We hope that each congregation in our Synod will invite 2 or 3 other congregations to participate in Operation Inasmuch. Hopefully by participating in an Operation Inasmuch event together, we will further bring healing and racial reconciliation to and with our Christian brothers and sisters.
Our event will focus on the following scriptures:
- “But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:21-23)
- “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” (John 17:20-21)
Please join us in this wonderful service event!
