The Lombard Mennonite Peace Center is offering excellent opportunities this December to help leaders gain skills needed to face the complexities of our times with grace, hope and love for one another. This organization is notorious for offering strong workshops to build leadership and community. These December offerings are each provided online.
- Healthy Congregations Workshop is being offered December 4th. This workshop offers insights from family systems theory to help church leaders (rostered and lay leaders) become more effective stewards of their congregations.
- Conflict Transformation Skills is being offered December 6th. We all know that conflict is part of everyone’s life. This workshop will engage attendees in learning practical ways of turning conflict into collaboration in your church, your family and work settings.
- Fractured Lives, Fractured Churches is being offered December 17th. This Workshop focuses on the impact of estrangement in the family on other areas of functioning. It attempts to answer the question “How can Americans come together even in their differences?”
The South Carolina Synod believes these are all truly worthwhile opportunities that can help us function well in our families, in our churches and in our everyday lives in community. We want to support your participation in these hope-filled opportunities. To that end, we are offering $50 scholarship to help you pay your registration costs. Just go online and register for the event (or events) you plan to participate in. Pay your registration fee, but send us a copy of your receipt or completed registration form and we will send you a $50 grant to offset your total cost for each registration. You can send that copy of your registration to Deborah Slice at the Synod Office for processing.
More information and registration is included below. Blessings for a Healthy and Happy Holiday season.
In Christ,
