And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly[a] with your God.
Micah 6:8
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
During this pivotal time in the world, we are asking the people of God to speak truth to power. Join us for a week of celebration, education, and action. Let’s use our voices and bodies as a revolutionary witness to the faith we have in a God who liberates.
Participate in the Juneteenth Week of Action by joining the events listed on the flyer below. Organize as families, communities, and congregations as we celebrate what it means to be the beloved children of God. Our voice will not be silenced.
The week will culminate with a virtual social justice conference on Friday, June 19th, and a Day of Action public protest on Saturday, June 20th in Columbia, SC.
The walk to the State House will start at 11:00 a.m. from Allen University. For the safety of everyone, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
