Services for Patricia “Miss Pat” Shealy, 83, will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church with the Rev. Emily Stolba, the Rev. Mary Anderson, and the Rev. John Wertz officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel. Mrs. Shealy passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Born in Greer, she was a daughter of the late Vernon Alvin and Essie Lee Wallace Massingale. She was an active member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church where she participated in the Prayer Shawl Ministry, WELCA, Church Choir, Witness Committee, VIP Group, taught Sunday School, and was Church Secretary for over 20 years. She also sang with the Ridge Choral Society and retired from JD Lever Elementary as a Teacher’s Assistant. She loved God, her church, her grandchildren, baseball, cherry Coke, peaches, and the Clemson Tigers.
Surviving are her children, David Shealy (Suzanne), Judy Horton (Van), and the Rev. Jeff Shealy (Ashley); grandchildren, Caroline Shealy, Luke Shealy, Jacob Horton, Samuel Horton, and John Paul Horton. She was predeceased by her husband, the Rev. C. Louis Shealy; sister, Linda Stapleton; and brother, Vernon Massingale.
