- your name & contact information
- the name of the church you are currently a member of in South Carolina
- the name of your pastor and whether or not he or she will be joining us
- the names of any others who will be Joining us as your guest(s).
You are invited!
This time together is sponsored by your South Carolina Synod and hosted by the Invitation to Service Committee.
It is designed for all Inquirers who are interested in attending seminary, and for those who will take this journey with them, including but not limited to spouse, pastor, and family members.
Whether or not you have started filling out the application to Seminary or the paperwork for the candidacy process you are encouraged to join in during this time to learn more about what you might expect at seminary and what the candidacy process
includes.
You will participate in conversation centered around a variety of presentations.
You will learn about the different tracks rostered leaders may take; what life as a rostered leader could look like; and financial and family issues that most rostered leaders face.
This day together begins the significant relationship between the inquirer (their family members and congregation), and the candidacy committee, building a foundation for the years and process to come. Spouses/significant others and your pastor are encouraged to attend.
Please invite your Pastor to join you for this significant time of conversation and reflection.
We will begin at 4pm with presentations from South Carolina Synod and Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary representatives.
Afterwards we will have a panel discussion with current rostered leaders and spouses. We will be done by 6pm.
Pastor Jason Antley is the host for this event and if necessary he may be contacted via email at jasonantley@earthlink.net or by phone at (803) 351-9317.
