Congregations are called to be safe places for all members, and every ELCA congregation is responsible to have established guidelines and policies protecting all members. When hiring church workers, please remember the importance of background checks. All South Carolina congregations should have official guidelines in place (the deadline was the 2005 synod assembly) to safeguard members against abuse. Pleasant Hill UMC is seeking a Director of Music to lead our music ministries.

This part-time position includes directing our Chancel Choir, leading our Contemporary Praise Band, and collaborating in planning meaningful worship experiences.

We offer two Sunday worship services:
8:45 AM Contemporary Worship (Praise Band-led)
11:00 AM Traditional Worship (Chancel Choir-led)
The ideal candidate will:

• Be proficient on piano and/or keyboard (organ also available)
• Lead both traditional and contemporary worship music
• Direct rehearsals for choir and band
• Collaborate with pastor and worship team
• Be organized, creative, and Christ-centered

Are you a creative communicator with a heart for community and a passion for sharing stories that matter? Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church in Chapin, SC, is looking for a dynamic part-time Outreach Coordinator to help us connect, inspire, and grow.

In this highly collaborative and meaningful role, you’ll lead our church’s presence both online and in the community by managing social media, crafting newsletters and emails, updating the website, and designing graphics and print materials. You’ll also shoot and edit videos that capture the life of our church, highlight ministries in action, and share powerful stories of faith and impact.
