Camp HUGG is June 26-July 1
Bridge Building Camp is July 3-7
Both camps are housed at Camp Kinard
For over 30 years, our LOVE Projects, Bridge Building Camp and Camp HUGG, have been (not-so-)secret the jewels in the ministry of South Carolina’s Lutheran Church Youth. These camps are limited enrollment events because they’re camps designed to help youth develop close relationships to each other, and also to grow in faith and love through relationships by accompanying the target ministry groups at each camp.
Camp HUGG is a ministry in partnership with White Knoll High School for youth who are developmentally disabled. Each White Knoll youth is partnered one-on-one with our LCY Youtherans for a week of day camp. During the day we do a VBS style curriculum, go to the zoo, and are blessed in relationship with the White Knoll youth.
Bridge Building Camp is a ministry primarily with The Heritage at Lowman, during which our youth build relationships with senior citizens. They share stories, sing songs, do skits, and play games (including Chair Volleyball!) during the week, and build relationships that often last all year round.
Both of these camps are transformational events, and you don’t want your youth to miss either of them!
