Where is the Spirit Leading?

“By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things… If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:22-23, 25)

It is clear in this passage that the Spirit is always leading us to experience new life, new beginning and new possibilities for ministry.

This video is about the places we see God’s Spirit at work in the South Carolina Synod. The Spirit of God is making a difference in the lives of people through our generous giving to Mission Support. Mission Support is your congregation’s financial weekly offering that is shared with the South Carolina Synod and the churchwide organization. It is an undesignated gift to ministries that go beyond your congregation. Each congregation is encouraged to set a goal of ten percent or grater of their regular giving by members as the proportionate share.

One of the most significant things we share with one another are the many faith stories about what the Holy Spirit is up to in and through our congregations and the communities we serve. We see the Spirit’s leading in public education especially with children in poverty, congregation renewal, the FAITH5 initiative, global partnerships, and youth and young adult ministries.
