Worship Supplies Available from Circle of Grace Lutheran Chapel
Synodically Authorized Worshipping Community, Circle of Grace Lutheran Chapel in Gaffney will hold its last service on June 9th. Pastor Jeff Lageman and Pastor Cedric Gibb have been leading worship and supporting this small but faithful ELCA presence. They would like to share copies of Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW), With One Voice (WOV), an altar cross, and candlestick with another worshipping community that could use them. If you are interested in some of these items, contact Pastor Jeff at 864-640-3390 or by email at email@example.com.
Here is an excerpt from the letter that Bishop Herman Yoos wrote to this community. “As Jesus reminded his disciples, ‘where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am among them.’” There is no doubt that as you have gathered so faithfully for Word and Sacrament that Jesus has been among you, blessing and strengthening you with his risen presence.
There is an Appalachian Folk Hymn called “Will the Circle be Unbroken?” Essentially this hymn makes it clear the Good News that God’s Circle of Grace can never be broken. It is an eternal circle of forgiveness, grace, and peace that doesn’t start with us nor end with us. Instead, it starts and ends with the love of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Thank you for your witness over these years to this unbroken Circle of Grace that sustains us always.
This is Christ’s Church. There is a place for you here.
We are the church that shares a living, daring confidence in God’s grace. Liberated by our faith, we embrace you as a whole person–questions, complexities and all. Join us as we do God’s work in Christ’s name for the life of the world.
