Tickets: $10.00 may be purchased in advance or at the door

Cash donations will support the MISSION LEXINGTON – LAVIE PREGNANCY CENTER (Formerly House of Hope).

Prizes: There will be a drawing for a cooler and other nice prizes

Wild game dishes will be provided along with vegetables and other dishes. You are welcome to bring a favorite wild game dish to share if you like.

A bin will be available if you wish to donate canned goods to Mission Lexington

The Blessing of the Animals,… and Plants, and…

It is that time of year when word of a Blessing of the Animals service is heard in many congregations. Saint Francis of Assisi is known as the patron saint of animals, and his commemoration takes place on October 4. Hence, if a congregation hosts a Blessing of Animals service, they typically plan their event near this date. There is, however, more for us to know about this blessing and about Saint Francis.
