By The Rev. Merianna Harrelson, Administrative Assistant of the Academy of Faith and Leadership, Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, Lenoir-Rhyne University

Join us for a seminar led by Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands! STSM advocates for and supports survivors of sexual assault and abuse and educates the community to identify and prevent sexual violence. This seminar will include workshops entitled Darkness to Light and Healing the Hidden Wounds and is intended for faith leaders, clergy, and advocates who are interested in helping learn how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse and respond to survivors in pastoral counseling. The Darkness to Light training is a nationally distributed, evidence-based program proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes, and change child protective behavior. Healing the Hidden Wounds is focused on responding to disclosures of sexual assault and abuse in pastoral counseling and ways to support survivors on their healing journey.

Attendance at these workshops fulfills the requirements to be included on the Faith Leader Referral List for STSM clients seeking spiritual healing and will create a partnership between the Academy of Faith and Leadership and Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands.

Come be a part of the good work Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands is doing to combat and prevent child sexual abuse!

Our registration is live, so you can order tickets today.
