Retired Rostered Leaders and Spouses Event – October 2018
Where: The Heritage at Lowman Home, White Rock, SC – The Hoefler Room
When: Wednesday, October 17, 2018
Time: Gather at 11:30 AM for fellowship; eat lunch at 12:15 PM, Program at 1:00.
Cost: $10.50 per person – Widows and widowers of rostered leaders are our guests if they so desire.
Please join us for a wonderful meal and fellowship. We will be having a buffet of fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, vegetable and dessert. Our guest speaker this month will be Furman Miller, the Regional Trail Coordinator for the Palmetto Trail.
Reservations are required for everyone.

It is that time of year when word of a Blessing of the Animals service is heard in many congregations. Saint Francis of Assisi is known as the patron saint of animals, and his commemoration takes place on October 4. Hence, if a congregation hosts a Blessing of Animals service, they typically plan their event near this date. There is, however, more for us to know about this blessing and about Saint Francis.read more
