You are invited to worship on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. This Epiphany Day service will be held at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 405 King Street, Charleston.

All are welcome to worship with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s Conference of Bishops, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada’s Conference of Bishops, and the African Methodist Episcopal Church. The prelude will begin at 6:45 p.m.

This is the first ELCA-AME joint worship opportunity to pray together for the light of Christ to shine into the darkness of fear, polarization, and racial injustice in our state and country.

The Rev. Joseph Darby, Presiding Elder of the Beaufort District of the South Carolina Annual Conference A.M.E. Church will preach and The Rev. Elizabeth Eaton, Presiding Bishop of the ELCA, will preside.

A reception will follow the service in the fellowship hall.
