Digitally Enabled Faith Formation Innovation Lab – Using Digitally Enabled and Connected Tools, Methods, and Resources in Faith Formation with All Ages

This one-day design workshop selects and presents the best approaches for integrating digital strategies into faith formation with children, youth, adults and families. Learn how to use digital tools, methods, and resources that are best suited for faith formation with all ages and generations. Discover where you can find great digital tools and curate digital faith formation resources. Each participant will design and implement new or enhanced programming that utilizes digital tools and methods.

Trainer/Facilitator: John Roberto
John is President of LifelongFaith Associates and works as a consultant to churches and nation organizations, conducts workshops in faith formation, and has authored books and program manuals in faith formation. He is also the Project Coordinator of the “Certificate in Faith Formation for the 2st Century” – a two-year online ministry education program, sponsored by Vibrant Faith. His latest publications include Families at the Center of Faith Formation, Seasons of Adult Faith Formation, Generations Together, Reimagining Faith Formation for the 21st Century and more!

What is an Innovation Lab?
Innovation Labs-an interactive, collaborative learning and design experience to create new projects in faith formation. The goal of an Innovation Lab is to design and implement a new initiative that has the potential of being transformative for your faith community. Each Innovation Lab will include these components:

  1. A one-day design workshop (9am-5pm) for leadership teams from churches, led by one or two facilitators from LifelongFaith Associates.
  2. Online support and networking using the Slack digital platform for communicating with each other, sharing projects, and accessing resources and tools (
  3. A project launch webinar to prepare leadership teams for implementing their innovation.
  4. A project evaluation webinar to share the impact of the project.
