The “Darkness to Light” Lecture and Training Event will be Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. in Stavros Lecture Hall at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. It may be used as a 0.5 CEU Credit

Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands’ mission is to advocate for and support survivors of sexual assault and abuse and educates the community to identify and prevent sexual violence. Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands envisions healthy survivors, thriving in a community free of sexual violence.

Stewards of Children is a prevention training program that teaches adults how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. The program is designed for organizations that serve youth and for individuals concerned about the safety of children. It is the only nationally distributed, evidence based program proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes, and change child protective behaviors. Additionally, this training is certified through the South Carolina Department of Social Services for professional development training hours.
