crossA free one-day seminar, “Coping with the Death of a Loved One,” will be presented from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Saturday, November 5. The location is New Life Community Church, 10809 Broad River Road, Irmo, SC 29063.

Registration is 8:30-9:00 AM.
The Saturday morning session includes: The Healing Element of Sharing Our Stories; Legal Matters by Attorney Emily McMillan; video presentations by Dr. Margit Giles, widowed mother, and Colonel Larry Coker, widowed father, followed by lunch.

During the afternoon session Ruth Ellis, Trauma Counselor, will speak on Coping with Loss, Taking Care of Self and Surviving the Holidays. Jim Caulder, Financial Advisor, will present a session on Social Security and Financial Matters. Both Ruth Ellis and Jim Caulder are highly sought after speakers and seminar leaders.

A closing candlelight service will follow at 4:15.

This seminar will offer help, hope and encouragement as we learn grief coping skills. The seminar is free, but pre-registration is requested. It is open to anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one.
