“The Deacon & Self Definition” Retreat to be held Feb 28 – Mar 2, 2018

The South Carolina Lutheran Retreat Centers, along with the Rev. Dr. L. William (Bill) Mitcham , is pleased to offer “The Deacon & Self Definition”; a two-day continuing education seminar designed to strengthen leadership skills, explore the definition of a deacon, enhance self-care, and prevent burnout.

This retreat will be held at Camp Kinard over February 28 – March 2, 2018. Participants will learn about:

Practicing self-care by learning about leading by self-definition.
Gain perspective on managing one’s self amidst institutional crisis & conflicts.
Understand more about the systems that interplay in the deacon’s life (Family of Origin, Family of Intention, & Work Setting Family).
Grow spiritually & theologically through the process of sharing & interacting with colleagues of the faith.
