By Deacon Kathleen Cartledge – St. Paul, Aiken
The South Carolina Synod welcomes new leaders – whether Deacons or Pastors, First Call Candidates or Retired – our synod is excited to introduce the newest members of our team’s roster!
As we boldly go to serve together and proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, we welcome these new teammates and colleagues in ministry: Pastors Andrea and Kyle Bates at St. Michael Lutheran in Greenville; Pastor Martin Lopez at Las parroquias de el Mesias and Nuestro Salvador in Greenville; Pastor Jesse Canniff-Kuhn, Campus Pastor at both Gamecock Lutheran and at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia; Christopher Gerardo, a recent graduate from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary and a first call candidate in South Carolina; Pastor June Wilkins, at Christ Lutheran in Hilton Head (a transplant from Columbus Ohio); and Pastor Christopher Shealy, at Mt. Hebron Lutheran in Leesville.
And there are more! We welcome Pastor Matt Lash, retired and living in Lexington SC, ready to stand in when needed; Pastor Emily Mooneyhan, a Presbyterian minister who expresses gratitude for the chance to serve in an ecumenical capacity as she serves Saluda Presbyterian, yoked in ministry with Mt. Pleasant Lutheran in downtown Saluda; and Pastor Carl Taylor, serving as Associate Pastor at Living Springs Lutheran in Northeast Columbia. Welcome!
