This year’s symposium welcomes Dr. David Downs, Associate Professor of New Testament Studies and Associate Dean for the Center for Advanced Theological Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary in California. He will present “Why Give? The Christian Practice of Almsgiving” and lead a conversation about how early Christian views and practices of giving might shape the formation of Christian communities today.
