Helping our Companions in Colombia

Heavy rains have caused deadly floods and mudslides in the northwest region of South America. In Colombia, mudslides have killed more than 250 people and injured hundreds more.

Three rivers surrounding the southern city of Mocoa, Colombia have overflowed, flattening highways, bridges and homes.

Iglesia Evangélica Luterana de Colombia (IELCO), is one of our companion synods. The South Carolina Synod has created a fund to help with disaster relief there.

You may also send funds through the synod office. Make sure to identify your donation as “Colombian Disaster Relief.”
