Help is needed from Retired or Active Pastors and Rostered Leaders!

United_Way_Logo.svgThe Midlands Flood Recovery Group (MFRG) was formed in November 2015 to address the long-term rebuilding and recovery needs in Richland and Lexington County after the historic floods. We expect recovery to take 2-3 years. We have several work groups focusing on areas such as coordination case management services, homeowner rebuilds, and volunteer management.

We would like to start an additional work team related to Emotional and Spiritual Care. This new work team would work on partnership with case managers to help with care of people still in the recovery process, provide care for responders like case managers, and to organize community healing events such as an annual recognition in October 2016. We are seeking work team members and a chair. The prospective chair would also serve on our MFRG steering committee that oversees the recovery. United Way of the Midlands serves as the coordinator of the MFRG. Any Pastors or other Rostered Leaders who are interested in serving on this Work Team for Flood Recovery are asked to contact Jennifer Moore by email or call 803-733-5421. Thank you for your willingness to serve in the recovery efforts.
